2017 E-Z-GO Wiring: Key-Switched F/R & 3 Aux Switches

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT

You MUST use a relay with a 48V DC coil (rated for 12V/30A+ contacts) for the backup light circuit. Connecting a standard 12V coil relay directly to the 48V F/R switch microswitch will cause the relay coil to burn out immediately.

System Overview

Key-Switched F/R Microswitch: The microswitch on the F/R shifter now receives its 48V supply directly from the output of the Main Key Switch instead of constant battery positive. The backup relay (and backup lights) will only function when the key is turned ON.
48V to 12V Converter Control: The converter's KEY/EN terminal is wired to the same key-switched output, keeping idle drain at zero when the key is OFF.
3 Auxiliary Switches: Three dedicated switches (Headlights, Aux 1, Aux 2) powered by individual fuses from the fuse block.
Centralized Fuse Block: All 12V accessories run through dedicated fused lines and route back to a single ground bus.
